Inspired by this idea, we created the brand Out of Office (OOO) complete with a shop and product line where everything is actually made out-of-the-office.
The Out of Office emblem is inspired by a stamp of approval. The OOO patterns resemble security patterns on classified envelopes. The packaging has been adapted from existing office materials like paper tubes and brown envelopes. The tubes and envelopes are silk-screened with vacay vibes like “You can reach me by waiting,” “Hopefully, this isn’t important,” “Auto-reply mode.” The OOO products are more summer themed with primary colors to remind you of beach umbrellas and beach balls.

For the first design, The inspiration comes from ‘Word Art,’ a fundamental computer tool that has been around for decades. It evokes a sense of humor and playfulness, creating a nostalgic office atmosphere. The second design draws from the visual elements of vintage office documents—such as request forms, leave applications, and other official paperwork—reflecting the everyday administrative environment.

All three ideas were strong in their own right, but both Farmgroup and the client agreed to move forward with the A-Cut option. It stood out for its playful and modern character, aligned well with trends at the time, and offered great flexibility for adaptation across various products and media.
